The Yankees suddenly can't figure out how to beat the Indians, after dominating them all season. New York has been beaten by great hitting in game 1 and by great pitching in game 2.
Jake Westbrook will be throwing the first pitch tonight for the Cleveland Indians. Westbrook lost 3 more games than he won this season, despite a respectable 4.32 ERA.
Roger Clemens will be pitching for New York. Clemens had a down season, starting less games than any year in his career except for his 1985 season with the Red Sox. His ERA is the highest it's been in 5 years, yet still respectable at 4.18. The rocket may be running out of fuel, as struck out fewer batters than he ever has in a season.
This AL division game, much like the other one being played tonight, will come down to the team with the best lineup. The Yankees lineup is much more impressive than the Indians. The Yankees will live to die another day. (soon)
