Angels looking for their first run.

The Angels definately have a nasty taste in their mouth after Josh Beckett pitched a complete game shutout against them on Wednesday. The Angels were fourth in runs scored in the AL this regular season. Looks like they should have saved a few to take to Fenway with them.

Los Angeles should be more successful against rookie right hander Diasuke Matsuzaka. Matsuzaka is a 15 game winner with a 4.40 ERA. He has struggled with his control, walking 80 batters in 205 innings. Hitters should be ready to hit the deck as he has pegged 13 batters this season. Between hits and walks he has let 284 batters reach this season. That's more than 1 per inning.

The Red Sox will be facing veteran Kelvim Escobar. Escobar has pitched well during his limited postseason appearances. He has a 3.07 ERA through 7 postseason games. As luck would have it, he has only won 1 of those games.

The key for Los Angeles tonight is patience. Matsuzaka will give them alot, if they are patient enough to take it.
